Guruvayoor Shree Krishna Temple
Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Krishna (an avatar of the god Vishnu), located in the town of Guruvayur in Kerala, India. It is one of the most important places of worship for Hindus of Kerala and is often referred to as “Bhuloka Vaikunta” which translates to the “Holy Abode of Vishnu on Earth”
Sanktham Thampuran Palace
Shakthan Thampuran Palace is situated in City of Thrissur in Kerala state, India. It is named as Vadakkekara Palace, was reconstructed in Kerala-Dutch style in 1795 by Ramavarma Thampuran of the erstwhile Princely State of Cochin, well as Sakthan Thampuran (Greatest ruler of the Cochin dynasty) is preserved by Archaeological Department. The palace was converted into a museum in 2005 by State.
Vadakkunnathan Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva at city of Thrissure. This temple is a classic example of the architectural style of Kerala and has monumental towers on all four sides and also a kuttambalam. Mural paintings depicting various episodes from Mahabharata can be seen inside the temple. The shrines and the Kuttambalam display vignettes carved in wood. The temple, along with the mural paintings, has been declared as a National Monument by India under Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act.
aramekkavu Bagavathi Temple is one of the largest Bagavathi temples in Kerala located in Thrissur City. Paramekkavu Temple Situated at round east – outskirts of the Vadakumnathan temple ground- Paramekkavu is the dominant partner of Thrissur pooram. The main deity is “devi” (vaishnavy- among sapthamathrukal).
Spread over an area of 13.5 acres of land, it is home to the wide variety of animals, reptiles and birds. There is a special building which houses snakes also. The zoo includes some of the rare and endangered varieties of species. The variety of wildlife in the Thrissur zoo includes tiger, lion, deer, sloth bears, monkeys, hippopotamus, camels, Cobras, kraits, viper, rat snakes and other diverse varieties.
